Student response systems allow teachers to integrate questions into the classroom for a variety of purposes:  eliciting students’ initial ideas, formative assessment, instructional decision making, polling students about preferences and interests, and quizzing.  These changes can be a catalyst for conceptual change, student engagement, and greater equity in science instruction---but they don't have to be expensive.  More....
